The big bad 1266-X found my first silver coin. Its a 1942 Mercury
Dime. At the depth of 5". I also dug 2 Wheaties at the place were I
found the dime. That makes a total of 10 Wheaties! Way to go 1266-X!

I first got into detecting in 1983. I bought a Fisher 1260-X. Have there
been enough improvements in circuitry and coil design to justify buying

v and Brittania spelled without an e. There is another word on the
front with Carolusa it starts with Ca but because of the corrosion on
the coin I can' t read the rest of the word.

To Cindy; Congrats again. 1700's is something in the US. 1600's is
phenomenal. I settled for an 1893 cent and a 1963 qtr this weekend. I
hunted an old church, which was obviously done before. All finds were
within 1 foot of roads or driveways. Hunters get lazy at the edges.
