Leave it to the good ole Fisher!! Wednesday night I found my oldest
find yet, it's a Charles II copper farthing dated 1673!!! I had to go
to the Library to find out what it was. And now I want to do more

Just bought a used Fisher Model VLF 440 w/ a 3 1/2" coil. Seems to work
just fine, but the small coil makes it hard to search big areas.
Anyone know much about this machine? Know of an 8 inch coil for it?

Found my first wheatie with my 1266-X. A 1944 in good condition.
Mixed 1 part salt with 2 parts vinegar and rubbed on coin which ate
up the coin. (Found this horrible recipe in 1980 Metal Detector book).
Any suggestions for restoring coing (silver, clad, and copper)?

I am using my gold bug2 with the depthmaster gold rush system and I am
getting false signels from the coil cable, it acts like the connector
at the box end is loose, but it is not. I can get a signel just by
pinching the cable with my fingers... Help

FISHER CZ-7 you can take this detector to the hunt site open the
cardboard box for the first time and get results, without reading the
